And here, my friends, is what just under 900 pounds of air freight looks like:

Another gratuitous shot of the living room, all packed up:

And here's Kyra, happily bouncing around threatening the movers with a squirt gun:

They were here from 9-4, with a break for lunch, and they managed to pack up almost the whole house. Amazing. They still have to finish the office, the master bedroom and Ainsley's room. They also have to pack up the coat closet and the clocks. Then they have to load it all onto the truck while we watch and check off every single box. So tomorrow will be another long day.

And now: to the pool, where we will order dinner for the second night in a row.

Forget the boxes, do I see hardwood floors? And a fireplace?

Heck - I'm going to China just for the housing! :)

I am glad it is going well for you. I am with Jill the housing is looking pretty good, of course there is that little air quality thing but hey you can't have everything. Good luck tomorrow and I hope you enjoyed dinner at the pool.

Oy. that's a lot of boxes. But at least you don't have to do it yourself, right? cause that would suck.

Oh my goodness, I can only imagine the work that went into getting all of that organized. Here's hoping the next day goes just as smoothly for you all!

James and I have both come back to your blog multiple times today just to gaze at your packout pictures and try to soak it all in.

We pulled up the pre-pack Air Freight items picture and just sort of... gazed at it. In silence. For a while.

And then:

James: Kitchen stuff.
Me: Yeah.
James: Yeah.

::silence for a while::

Me: And bedding.
James: Yeah.

::more silence::

James: Wow.
Me: Yeah.

::James wanders away in a daze::

So - go you. And go Jill and Shannon and Stephanie and everyone else going through this. But your pictures and numbers were AWESOME and very helpful.

I'm going to go look at them some more...

After all the work, I bet it feels great - if a little unreal - to see all those boxes :)

Please. Write your own stuff.
