Lookee Here! I'm Famous!

Well, maybe not famous exactly. But Alan Paul interviewed me for the "Expat Life" column he writes for the Wall Street Journal (thanks, Global Gal, for letting me know it was online). I never got to meet Alan while he lived in Beijing, but I've been an avid reader of his column ever since Ambassador Ordway pointed it out to me, so it's fun to get a mention.

Wow, congrats! That's pretty cool.

I'm actually quite frustrated with China at the moment. I was going to go to Hefei, in Anhui province in May to visit a good friend of mine, and now it seems that won't be possible. Apparently the Chinese embassy in Korea does not accept visa applications by mail at all. Since I live 6 hours south of Seoul, that makes it virtually impossible for me to get a visa. Joy. http://www.driftingfocus.com/blogs/?p=3891

I thought it was interesting that I had just finished reading your post on your new job through my Google Reader when I switched over to Twitter and saw something there about a new entry on the "Expat Life" column, (which I like very much). As I was reading I realized, "Hey! I read her blog! I just read her blog! How cool!"

Please. Write your own stuff.
